About this program
Access to clean water remains one of the major challenges of the 21st century on the African continent, where millions of people face an alarming water crisis on a daily basis. This shortage of safe water poses not only an environmental and economic threat but, above all, a severe public health crisis.
Consuming stagnant or unsafe water fuels the spread of devastating waterborne diseases—such as cholera, dysentery, and typhoid fever—while placing a heavy burden on the women and children forced to travel long distances to fetch water.
Confronted with this critical issue, the Dafara Foundation/NGO is actively engaged on the ground. Through the installation of water points, the construction of sustainable infrastructure, and awareness-raising initiatives, the organization strives to restore dignity, health, and hope to vulnerable populations.
Support is coordinated around identified needs, with a clear plan for delivery and a documented outcome.
